Passenger Assistant
The London Borough of Camden is seeking Passenger Assistants to help transport passengers with complex needs and disabilities to their schools and day centres. The vehicles you will be working in are 16-32 & 52 seater buses.
The Role
-
Helping passengers with complex needs and disabilities to safely board and alight from the vehicle.

You will have access to the assistance of an escort or driver.

3 Month contract with the potential to be extended
Pay & Shift Times
-
£16.04 per hour
-
Monday to Friday
-
20 Hours per week
-
Daily work hours will vary between 8am and 4pm depending on the route that day
Key Responsibilities
-
Ensure safe entry, travel and exit for all passengers

Manoeuvre clients using appropriate techniques and equipment

Transfers via stairs where reasonable and appropriate to do so
Key Requirements

Safeguarding and caring experience

Physically fit with relevant manual handling training

Good oral/written communication skills

Enhanced DBS checks will be required prior to starting the role
