Payroll Manager
A local NHS Trust requires the services of a competent Payroll Team Leader to take responsibility for the line management of its Payroll team, located in Guildford.
Job Summary

The post holder is responsible for providing an efficient and effective Payroll service handling the changes for 4000 monthly paid staff, ensuring co-operative and integrated ways of working with Finance and HR colleagues.

The post holder will operationally manage the team including line management performance and co-operate with internal and external stakeholders, including HMRC.

The post holder will organise and prioritise own workload ensuring strict deadlines are adhered to, be responsible for a section of monthly payroll records and process these on a day to day basis and ensure the timely and accurate payment of salaries.

They will develop a customer service focus within the team and in conjunction with the Head of Payroll will promote engagement and facilitate the promotion and easy use of RSCH services .

Ensure compliance with all information governance, statutory payroll regulations and NHS Pay Terms and Conditions along with the NHS Pension Scheme to guarantee compliance in all administrative processes..
Salary & Job Type

This role is currently offered as a temporary 3 Month contract with the potential for extension if required.

The pay rate for this role is £16.96 per hour
Requirements
-
Demonstrable management experience in a reward and or payroll supervisory role.

Management/supervision of a team

Expert knowledge of Tax, National Insurance and all statutory payroll payments and deductions

Education to degree level or equivalent experience, evidenced by already developed specialist knowledge & experience in a payroll environment.
